School's Out!!

Mike and Nicole asked if we would babysit Addyson on the first Friday night of the holiday break. We talked about taking the kids to look at Christmas lights just to give them something to do and then maybe come home and watch a Christmas movie. When Scott got home from work he suggested going up to Woods Chapel because he saw a sign that they were having a live nativity scene that night. I have seen the sign before but we had never gone to it, so it sounded pretty cool. Before we left the house we read the "Real Story of Christmas" one more time and talked about all the things we might see. When we arrived at the church we were shocked to see a whole little carnival going on! They had kettle corn, hay rides with caroling, a petting zoo of all the animals from the manger, pony rides, hot chocolate and a big fire for roasting marshmallows. It was awesome! We watched the "show" which was precious because it was all kids and then went through all the different activities. It wasn't even crowded - I guess because it was pretty chilly but the kids didn't care. We all had a great time!
