PMS

I never really understood all of the jokes associated with PMS until recently. I am not sure what has happened but since I turned 31 it’s like my hormones completely flip out the day before I start. Ugh! Seriously, the past three months it has been a little more than over the top. It really reminds me of how I felt when I was pregnant. You know those times when you know you are being completely ridiculous but you just can’t seem to reign it back in. Let me just recount the past the months’ PMS meltdowns and see what you think. I have flipped out on Scott about putting dirty dishes into the dishwasher, for not Windexing the table after dinner, for laughing at me when I got scared about something super stupid and for breaking a sun visor in the Camry on accident of course. And when I say flipped out – I mean FLIPPED OUT… crying, screaming, ranting – it’s not a good situation. Everytime it’s happened, I have started the very next morning. I am just not sure what to do about it. Poor Scott has been used and abused. Of course I spend the next day apologizing for my meltdown but it’s still a little late for all of that then. Is this something that is going to get worse as I get older? Is this “normal”? Dear God!

Hudson and Astraea

On Tuesday we babysat my cousin Starla’s sweet little girl Astraea. She will be two in September and is so much fun! Hudson loves her and likes to be the “big kid” when she’s around! It worked out great because Nolan was gone while she was over so it was fun to just play with two younger kiddos! Starla said she is “pretty tough” and should be fine with boy stuff – almost alluding to her being a tomboy or something. Um, no ma’am. She is the sweetest, girly girl ever! She kinda squished her nose up at everything we did - I think because it was a little too messy and dirty for her. So cute! I am so used to wild, rough boys – taking care of her was SO different!

Look at this tan, seriously? He always wears sunblock, I promise!

She was so over the water and the grass on her feet.

So we decided to turn off the water and pull out the bubbles...

Then it was bath time...

After everyone was in their jammies it was time for sippy cups, blankets and a little Curious George.

River Trip 2010

We go to the river every summer with a big group of friends. Scott and I both had been looking forward to it for a while now. It was so nice to just stay in cabins and spend time with friends! Scott's birthday was Saturday when we floated the river - what a good b-day! I wish I had a summer birthday. We went to the San Marcos outlets on Friday on the way down and we ate and shopped in Gruene on the way home. It's kinda just one of those trips that is always the same but so much fun!

These next three pictures are my favorites from the trip - Scott kept trying to dunk me and all I was trying to do was smile at Lisa so she could take a picture!

Scott's 31st Birthday

Scott's 31st birthday was last weekend. We had a family birthday party at his parent's house the weekend prior because we were going to be out of town. MiMi made a YUMMY chocolate cake with strawberries and he opened presents. PaPa bought a Wii a after he had so much fun playing on ours. All the boys played Sports Resort for a while and then we went on a walk. Nolan and Hudson love the little boys (Brennen and Bret) that live across the street from MiMi's house. They were outside playing so we invited them to join us on the walk. It was a good night at the Mays'. Happy 31st honey - I love you!

This one cracks me up because notice the boys are running ahead and PaPa is carrying one bike and pushing another.

I love this picture of Randy and the boys.
