Girls Picture 2010

My high school girls and I took group pictures two years ago with all of our kiddos. They are some of my favorite pictures ever. We have decided to take the picture again every few years to record the kids and our lives through the years. It is a really special thing to still be so close with the same group of friends for the past 15 - 20 years! I love these ladies and all their precious babies. I love that these pictures are so much like the ones we took back in high school but with years of laughter and tears between us now. Our stories are so different from what they were back then. I know I will be close to them forever and will never have a lonely day in all the days of my life. I am so blessed.

From left to right - Stevi, Me, Ashley, Johnna, Brooke, Kara, Kendra, Kelli, Amy, Emily, Heather and Krystal (Thought I should add this for history sake in case my grandkids read this some day in my blog book!)

Okay okay...I know...I need to update my blog!

So the past month has been a blur at the Mays'. We have had birthday parties, weddings, showers, photo shoots for friends, dinner parties and everything else you can think of! The bad news is that about a month ago I lost my little camera. That little camera has been in my purse for the past 5 years and has captured thousands (not an exaggeration) of pics! I drank a little too much at Erika's wedding and left it on a table. :( I was SO sad the next day when I figured out I had lost it. I think I have been a little depressed over losing it and without that little guy I have missed a lot of pictures. I basically take pictures of everything and then I remember what I want to blog about based on the pics. So no pics, no new blog posts. So sad! I have my "big" camera but it's not one of those things you can just throw in your purse and have at all times - ya know? Anyways, life goes on so I will try to remember everything I need to blog about...maybe tomorrow.

Here is a pic from Scott's phone right after we put up the tree this past weekend. He was trying to take the picture when Hud jumped in the the way, aimed and ready to shoot! Guess we will have a killer Christmas?

Halloween 2010!

Halloween was awesome - we went to Shreek on the Creek and then back to our house for "trick or treating" with all the grandparents. You will notice the boys changed costumes a few times...

Fanny Pack Fridays

Okay so for some reason Conner felt compelled to take a pick of himself in the bathroom mirror with nothing but a fanny pack on. He then sent it to all his friends and posted it to Facebook. I must say it was the most hilarious picture ever. Since then, he has talked everyone else into making a guest appearance for "FPF" for the past couple of months. It's getting quite a following on FB and he and Mindy even bought the domain for Fanny Pack Friday. (Seriously they might get rich off of this little thing!) Anyways Conner decided to wear it as a costume and it was too funny! Here are a few of the pics that have been posted for FPF....
Because he's not only the president he's a member...

Danny..

Nick on his wedding day...

And you know me, when Scott got sucked into doing this I had to put a little artistic spin on it.(we were cracking up when we ran into the backyard to snap this!!!) Scott -

Becca and Conner's Halloween Party!

Pics from B's Halloween party. Scott was "Cousin Eddie" from Christmas Vacation and I was a Roller Derby Girl. We had a little too much fun and Sunday morning I was paying for it! :) I will have to explain Conner's costume in a different post...

Games, Bounce Houses and Slides - OH MY!

Nolan's school carnival was Saturday and the boys had a blast! Hudson won a cake from the cake walk on his first try and thought it was so cool to pick out a big cake! They played a bunch of games and did all the bounce houses and slides about 50 million times. Nolan kept telling Hudson about how this is big school and this is how we do this or that and Hudson just listened and followed right along being sure to do what Nolan said. Hudson would follow Nolan anywhere - even up the GIANT slide. Once they were at the top of that big slide Nolan sat up there for about 2 minutes thinking about going down (it was a really tall one) and Hudson who followed him up the ladder didn't even blink and jumped onto the slide in front of Nolan and flew down it! I think it might of scared him a little once he realized how fast he was going but he didn't hesitate to climb back up and go down it for a second time!
Scott and I just stood back and watched the boys for most of the carnival - we love that they are able to play with each other and how Nolan watches out for Hud. It's super sweet.
