Grayson's 5th Birthday Party!
Sweet Grayson turned 5 this week and so the Binford's had a big party for the special event! They recently got a "pet" pig Wilbur and for Grayson's birthday they got a pony! Their house has always been a lot of fun but with a pig and pony and a pond it is now the mecca of little boys favorite places! :) They had fun activities for the kiddos and the weather was perfect. What a great way to spend a sunny Sunday after church!

Quite possibly one of the busiest days ever....
We celebrated 7 birthdays on Saturday. It was out of control for the Mays' but such a fun day! The boys and I went from party to party from 11am till 7pm! (Scott played in a golf tournament so he missed out on all the madness! Happy birthday to Allie, Emily, Kennedy, Aunt B, Jace, Hudson (Nolan's buddy - not ours) and Christina. (And Ashley too even though we couldn't make it to her party!)

The Love Shack
Last Friday night Scott and I decided to take the boys down by the stockyards to this burger place that I saw on Food Network. It's called the Love Shack. Mike and Nicole ended up going too. It was pretty good food but it was kinda a rough night.
Mike fell out of a tree and busted his face up really bad on Wednesday. (In fact he had surgery this week to fix his broken orbital socket!) I think Mike and Nicole wanted to come with us because poor Mike had been a little stir crazy being at home but once we were out there I could tell he did not feel good. :( The other thing that we didn't realize is that it was Nascar weekend so there were a lot of people down in the stockyards...a lot of Nascar people. It was not exactly a "family" atmosphere. The kids didn't seem to notice but it was one of those nights that just didn't turn out quite like we envisioned!

Mike asked some guy if he could borrow his Shiner for the picture of his shiner! :)

Yes, you are seeing right - that's a rat on a cat on a dog.

And yes, that's Hudson holding his nose while petting them. I asked him why and he said because the man was stinky. Um, sick - but yes we let him.

The kids begged for a quarter to ride these...I swear these are probably the same rides that were outside of k-mart when we were their age. I guess some things never change.

Life
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is bliss, taste it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it. - Mother Teresa

Florida
Last week I had to go to Florida for a business trip. I don’t have to travel very often but when I do - I HATE IT. I hate leaving my family, sleeping without Scott, being alone on planes and in hotel rooms and just everything about traveling period. It messes up our routines for the boys and disrupts the flow of life! I know I shouldn't complain because it really is not often that I have to travel, but I still HATE it. I typically try to look at the good things; I will actually have time to read a magazine from cover to cover and I will probably eat some yummy food - but those two little things don't typically make up for all the hassles. This trip was a little different because I have a friend that lives in the area and we had a dinner date planned that didn't involve clients or work! She works with me but for a different unit. We have been friends for a long time now. She has four sweet kiddos and works on the same account that I do. She used to work in our Deerfield Beach office but when she had twins three years ago she cut back hours and was able to start working from home. (out of her closet actually - funny but true, ha-ha!) Anyways, Frances is one of those people that I don't talk with all the time but when we do, we just pick up where we left off. I love her. She's great! I think we have a lot of the same values and we seem to have similar parenting styles and whatnot. We always have plenty to talk about. I was so glad that she was able to sneak away from her own family on a random weeknight and go to dinner with me! (I know how hard that it!) We ate at a place that was right on the beach and I really enjoyed our patio time! My actual client meetings went really well too. I was finally able to get some face time with my daily contacts which was good. All in all the trip was good and productive, but I sure was glad when I walked out of the airport terminal and was greeted with three smiling guys!
