Grass Fire

My Grandparents and two sets of great aunts/uncles all bought land beside each other out in Kennedale years ago. A few weeks ago a small grass fire broke out on someone else’s land and spread all the way over to my family’s property. Luckily it did not get any houses but in a matter on minutes it burned down a few sheds full of antiques and a semi trailer full of my great uncle’s work equipment. Since we have had zero rain all summer and over fifty days of 100 degree temps, it was a bad situation! SO SCARY!!! I took the boys over to see it last weekend and I think a huge lesson was learned about the dangers of fire. I am so thankful that no one was hurt and that their homes were safe.
