Nolan's birthday fell on a Saturday this year which was so much fun. We were able to wake up and open presents with just our family first. Nolan was SUPER pumped to open a Wii. He had no idea that we were going to buy that for him. I honestly just think he never thought we would have agreed to get one, so he never even asked. He was really surprised and that made it extra fun to give it to him. He is also really into Legos and turns out there are even Lego video games! We bought him a few Lego sets that he wanted. (those things are crazy overpriced if you ask me!) He even thought the Star Wars Lego t-shirt and hat I found were "awesome". I made breakfast and he had plenty of time to enjoy his toys before the parties. We had his party at my cousin's store Play N Trade. It's a place where they sell new and used games and they have a tournament room in the back and let us have a b-day party in it. It was the easiest, most low key party ever! All the boys just piled in and hooked up to the games. Every once in a while you would hear an "Aw Dude!" or "Awesome!" and that was about it! Weird! Nolan was in heaven to be able to just play games - any game in the store. He thought that was really cool. Ryleigh was our resident girl of the group since of course Brent was invited and she played bowling with me. :) All the dad's even played with the boys. I think that they all had a good time. After the party we headed back home to have a family party. All the grandparents came over and we had pizza and more cake. Nolan was given so many wonderful presents! Aunt B and Uncle C came over that night after bathtime to see Nolan. Conner had been in the Philippines all week on business and just got home! When I was tucking Nolan into bed he said the sweetest words a mom can hear: "Thanks Mommy for today - I had the best birthday ever! I love you!".
Please look at Hudson's face as Nolan opened the Wii. He was SO excited for Nolan because Nolan was screaming and he doesn't even know what it is!
