All the random stuff I have been meaning to post...

Hudson playing with silly string while "watching" Tinkerbell in the backyard.

Nolan made Roy a little guy for the wii - too cute.

The boys and I braved the traffic to check out the new outlets on a mad serach for the perfect pair of Vans.

It was not a planned trip and as you can tell the boys dressed themselves.

My little snacker!

We went to see Aunt B which always ends in dress-up or other shananigans.

Kara was a good sport!

Two adults taking six kids out for ice cream...we are crazy but I am loving it! It's been such a fun summer!

While school supply shopping the boys talked me into going to HobbyTown USA. I hate this store - but I sure love my boys so we went and spent an hour checking everything out and playing.

And this last picture of our sweet Roxy girl - she is my cuddle bug and I love her so!

Never Enough Time

We are back to football and back to school - no more lazy days of summer! I have so much to post but never seem to have a minute to do it. Here are two pics that sum up our activities for the last couple of weeks...

12 facts for August 12th

We ate this for breakfast: Kolaches from Czech Stop before church

This is on our agenda: church, laundry, trip to swimming at Grandma’s house

This made us laugh: wrestling being silly with Roy aka “sweet pea”

Last thing we purchased was: padded practice pants for football

This is our favorite song: Hudson’s is Houdini by Foster the People, Nolan’s is Canned Heat by Jamiroquai and mine is anything Mac Miller (just download a ton of his stuff and it’s all good) and Forever Ain’t Enough by J. Holiday

We watched this on TV: The Closing Ceremonies for the 2012 Summer Olympics –London.

This is what we are reading: I am reading Bared to You (but I have barely had time to even start the dang thing) and I ordered a new bible study on Amazon – the book is called Unglued (can’t wait for it to get here!)

We are looking forward to: Cougar Football and Back to School

We ran these errands: Stuff from Academy that Nolan had to have for the first time this year for tackle football

We ate this for dinner: We ate dinner at Grandma’s with Uncle Dell, Patty, Starla, Doug, Astraea and Mom.

Today we celebrated: That mom’s side of the family got to meet Roy for the first time – yay!

We are grateful for: A great three day weekend – our trip to Sea World and a fun relaxing Sunday!

I didn't take any pics but Nolan took a few so here they are...

Sea World

Last Friday, Nana and I got up early and took the boys to San Antonio for the weekend. It was a great trip! I made up travel packs for the car ride and filled it with coloring books and writing stuff, candy, games, stickers and anything else that I thought might occupy them for the five hour trip. They did great in the car and really loved all the goodies! Shockingly there was very little fighting. We had to make a stop at Czech Stop – both going down and coming home. (Nolan’s favorite) We packed in a lot for a few days there - we did the River Walk with the night boat tour, went to the Alamo and spent two days at Sea World and Aquatica. We stayed at the Crockett Hotel which is an old historic hotel right in downtown across from the Alamo. We stayed there as kids and it was just as fun this time as it was back then. We were able to walk to everything down there and it’s just a cool hotel. It was our first time to go to Sea World and I felt like the boys were the perfect age for it. It wasn’t busy at all on Friday so the boys were able to get right up front with the dolphin feeding and stingray feeding areas which was so cool! We watched a few shows and then headed to the water park because it was SOOOOOOO hot! Saturday we did the rest of the Sea World side with more shows and the rides. Nolan is still super scared to ride the big slides and the rollercoasters and Hudson was of course all about them! We did the family ones all together and Hudson and I did the few “scary” ones that he was tall enough for. Poor guy was so upset that he couldn’t ride the steel eel – maybe next year! I told them they could each pick out a prize and Hudson picked a stuffed sting ray and Nolan picked a leather bracelet and had “Nirvana” etched on it – so completely opposite as always! We ate junk food, sang songs, played plenty of road trip games. We all had a really good time and I am so glad we were able to squeeze it in before school starts back in two weeks!
