Birthday Weekend!
I have wanted to try this new restaurant Tillman's Roadhouse for the past few months. I had heard good things about it and so for my b-day this year I skipped the house party and decided to just do a dinner. The place was even better than I had expected. It was GREAT food and such a neat atmosphere. They had a ton of unique food - including chicken and waffles! Becca and Conner and Christi and David went with us. We had such a good time! Sunday night we went out to MiMi and PaPa's house to celebrate with the Mays'. Monday I worked and went to lunch with my work girls to Rio Mambo and that night I went with Nana and Grandma to this new burger place called SmashBurger - it was SO yummy. Seriously one of the best burgers ever! Nolan and I pass the shopping strip everyday and everyday Nolan asks if it's open yet. It opened over the weekend so of course we had to go check it out. Poor Scott came down with a stomach bug on Sunday night so he was home and missed out. Thankfully he is better now and hopefully the rest of us don't catch it! All in all it was a weekend packed with family, friends and way too much food! Here's to 31!

Spring Swing
This weekend we had great weather, unfortunately Nolan and I both felt pretty yucky on Saturday and missed out on the first day of it. Sunday we both seemed to be better so we made up for it! The boys spent the night with Nana so that Scott and I could go to dinner for my b-day. When we went to pick them up on Sunday morning they were already outside getting dirty! They played in Nana's yard for a few hours and we just hung out and visited with my mom on the porch. She has a great big shaded yard that is PERFECT for my two outdoor boys! There is a big tree swing that they just love. It was a great way to start the day! We went home ate lunch, Hudson took a nap and Nolan and Scott played in the backyard. We went to MiMi and PaPa's for dinner and b-day cake that night. The boys again were so excited to play outside and swing on their new tree swing that PaPa made. You can't see the tree in the pictures where Nolan is swinging but it is literally growing diagonally from having a swing in it over the past 6 years. From baby swing, to toddler swing, to the new big boy swing it has been a favorite pass time for the boys every spring and summer! I also took a few pictures of the boys chasing MiMi's cat - Tom. They love him, but he doesn't love them! :)

Nolan's Open House
Nolan had open house last night at his school. They are learning all about the ocean and had made a lot of cute things for the big night! Nolan is such a big boy these days. He is doing great in school and we are so proud of him. I was so sad to realize that the only picture that I took of him and his teacher didn't turn out. I will have to get one next week on his field trip! He led us all through the school and was so proud to show us his work and the different places he goes in school each week like gym, computer lab, library and art class. He loves school!

Granny's Birthday
Saturday night we went to eat with all our family for Granny's birthday. After dinner we went back to Granny and PaPa's house for cake and presents. Nolan was excited to play games on Uncle C's i-Phone and Hudson was excited to play with Matt. It was nice to spend the evening with the family and just laugh and hang out. We don't get to do it enough! Notice in the picture below that Hudson is helping Granny blow out her candles. The next day at Caden's party Hud decided to also "help" Caden and blew out his candles after everyone sang Happy Birthday. Super embarrassing!

Monster Jam
Since Nolan wants to be a Monster Truck driver when he grows up it seemed pretty important to take him to the show when it was in town this weekend. :) It was also the night of Stevi and Ashley's b-day bash so Scott and I decided to tag team the night - he would take Nolan to the show and I would go to the party. Plans were set, tickets purchased and then the virus set in... Poor Nolan! As soon as he threw up for the first time on Saturday he started crying. Not crying about feeling sick - he started crying cause he thought this meant he wouldn't be able to go to see the Monster Trucks. He said "Does this mean I can't go tonight? I've been waiting my WHOLE life to go to this!" Poor little guy! How could we keep him from that? Scott decided to still try and take him to the show. He packed some walmart sacks in his pocket for emergency puke bags and they took a bucket with them in the truck and off they went. Nolan got sick a few time on the way there but was okay during the show. (Thank goodness!) but after about 45 mins he told Scott he was ready to go. You know the kid feels bad when he was ready to leave early he even looks sick in the pictures below. At least he was able to go for a little while.

When they got home, I headed out to Fat Daddy's to spend the evening with the b-day girls. We had lots of fun! I only took a few pictures but I attached them below.
