Office Update...

So the big HH news is that we finally have a preggers! Cheryl found out in February that she and Tommy are going to have a baby. I am super excited for them and this new adventure they are starting! Of course this means BIG fun for us at the office. Something to talk about daily, track progress for and most of all someone to poke fun at! Cheryl has had a great pregnancy and has felt good so that makes it even more fun. Of course the first half has been spent trying to figure out what this sweet bebe will be! We (and when I say “we” I mean “I”) decided that we should run Cheryl through all the old wives tales and predict the sex of the baby. Cheryl was a good sport and we did a lot of funny things and almost all of them pointed to a GIRL. The best thought was the Draino pee test which was a little dangerous but had us laughing the whole time. At the end of the test it was decided that she must be having a BOY. Two weeks ago at her sonogram she FINALLY found out what she is having and the Draino test was right - She’s having a BOY! Yay! So exciting!













A few months ago we received one of those forwarded emails that had a whole bunch of random, awkward maternity pictures. (Think of the awkwardfamilyphotos.com or peopleofwalmart.com – but in terms of maternity portraits.) They were hilarious and awful all at the same time. People are so weird – ones with pregnant ladies wearing random costumes, holding guns, awkward naked shots with their baby’s daddy, etc…seriously so weird and random! Last week since it was the Friday before Father’s Day we decided to take a few maternity pics of Cheryl and her cute little bump as a gift for Tommy – hehe. Of course we were planning to do them awkward family photo style and have her wrap them up and give them to Tommy as a dead serious gift. Again an afternoon filled with giggles. It’s amazing all the props we were able to scrounge up around the office. Here are my favorites for your viewing pleasure…





This one I am throwing in because it is totally the "skinny shot". I think we should all start doing this pose at the bars and whatnot when we want to look "skinny" in pictures. :)




The last exciting new is that we painted our office. I know, I know – this probably seems like small potatoes to “normal” office workers but this was a BIG deal in our office. We have had the same furniture, the same pictures, the same institutional grey walls and hell, prob the same plants as when we first moved into this building well before my time here. It was definitely time for an update. We picked bold colors and I think they turned out awesome. We also plan to have some neat pictures printed to canvas for the conference rooms and other office walls. It’s just been nice to walk into a bright office and have a little color in our day.
