Happy 1st Birthday Caden Cook!!
Hot Mamas
Friday Caden turned one and his birthday party was yesterday. While we were at the party I took a ton of pictures and when I was editing them last night I realized that I had gotten a few really good shots of some of the girls with their sweet babies. I had to share. I wish now that I gotten pics of all of the moms and kids but at least I got these few. Doesn't motherhood just become them? They are all glowing and happy! Love 'em!

It's got to be New York, New York...
The boys came home from MiMi's house on Thursday with these ridiculous hats. They came from the New York, New York Hotel in Las Vegas. (I'm guessing they were in a closet and Nolan found them or something.) Anyways the boys loved them and have now been wearing them for the last three days. Hudson gets on his little riding toy and Nolan pushes him around and they say that they are Taxi drivers. Hudson even threw a fit to wear it at table for dinner last night!! Nolan asked this morning if he could wear it with me to Target and that's where I drew the line. No way are we going out in public wearing them - ha ha!!

Mr and Mrs Defee
Well they finally did it!! Michelle and Kasey tied the knot this weekend! I have to admit, I was really worried about having a wedding in my living room. I wasn't sure how to make the room look "weddingish". I read an article years ago that had the idea of taking all different shapes and sizes of clear crystal candle holders and putting them all on a table at a wedding or shower. I had never attempted the idea before but I thought that it would be a good backdrop for a wedding and decided to give it a try. My mom helped me buy, steal and borrow all of the holders. It was well worth the work because it turned out perfect!! Michelle wanted red roses and hearts as her accents. My Aunt Cindy (who makes all the amazing cakes) made the most beautiful wedding cake and groom's cake. Michelle was beautiful - seriously just glowing and SO happy. Little Ethan was Kasey's best man and looked adorable in his little suit. The justice of the peace was great - she was an older woman and just had that sweet grandmotherly sense about her. She spoke of love, commitment and honor - it was a beautiful ceremony. Kasey and Michelle each wrote their own vows and they were heartfelt and emotional. I really can not believe that my little sis is married. It was a special day and I am so happy for them. That night after all the guests had left and the boys were in bed, Scott and I were exhausted. The house was spotless, candles lit, wonderful arranged flowers on every table, the smell of roses in the air - we ate left over wedding cake and snuggled on the couch. What a perfect ending to a perfect day - why can't everyday be like that!?!?

Mavs Game
Scott's parents bought Maverick's tickets for all the family last week. It was Mema's birthday and she had never been to a game and had always wanted to go so they thought it would be fun for all of us to go! It was me and Nolan's first time to go as well. We had a great time! Nolan was hilarious because he was so impressed with the PA system. He kept asking questions about the sound quality and talking about how much he liked all the music. He would jump up and dance everytime timeout or break when the music would come on and just dance his little heart away. It was really cute! Go Mavs!!!

Michelle's Wedding Shower
I am running so behind on posting pictures from all of the fun stuff the past week! These are some shots from Michelle's shower that Becca and I hosted at B's house. It was a lot of fun and of course Michelle received a ton of great stuff! I am just wondering why we don't all throw showers at our 10 year anniversaries?? Mine will be next year if anyone wants to buy me new towels or cookware! Ha Ha!
